Simple US Passport Application Tips

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Acquiring a passport can either be a tough process or a simple one. This document is very crucial to all citizens who are planning to travel abroad. This document is a requirement for any for anyone traveling regardless of how old they are. There are special requirements that should be met by infants and children less than sixteen years in order to get this travel document. The following steps will surely ensure that your US pasport application.

Plan Early

The initial step that you require to do is planning ahead or early. The first process takes like four to six weeks that is inclusive of the delivery process. In the scenario where you had not planned ahead and you urgently need the travel document, then you will need to get expedited services. These services are quite fast but it takes two to three weeks and they are quite expensive.

Documents

Another step is to keep important documents close so that if you are requested to present them, you can do so with ease. Such documents include a birth certificate, driver’s license and ID card. These documents help to prove that you are a legal citizen of a certain country.

First Time Applicants

In case you are applying for this document for the first time, you should consider obtaining an application form from the main office or the designated outlet in your city. Availing yourself to the center will enable you to ask questions or even offer helpful information to the agency. Note that you can download the form from the web but visiting the head office is most appropriate.

Complete Forms

Filling in the columns carefully is another aspect you need to ensure before you submit the form. You can submit the form yourself or give it to a person in charge of delivering it to the agency. Another simple way of delivering it is by dropping it off at your local passport office.

Passport Photos

Remember that the form should have two passport sized photos attached to it. Ensure that the photo is taken properly and you are well positioned. This is vital because you may be requested to retake it if it is not up to standards. Therefore, ensure that your photo is taken by a professional photographer in order to get high quality photos. The professional should also advice on how you should position yourself.

Expedited Services

Cost of obtaining a US passport renewal is another point to factor. You should note that when you are using the normal procedure to obtain it, the costs involved are small. However, when you require an emergency document, you will need the services of an expedited firm. This process is fast but expensive.

AnimeUSA 2011: A Small Anime Wonderland (Part 1 of 3)

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Report by guest correspondent Sh1zuka. First of three articles.

AnimeUSA 2011, held from November 17 – 20, 2011, is a cozy and moderately small anime convention held at the Hyatt Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. This year’s registration rate was at the door, and cheaper if pre-registered over a month in advance. If you know you will arrive on Friday, you can skip the long pre-registration line by registering at the convention, saving you lots of time.

Even though AnimeUSA is a small convention, it is still a full featured convention, with usual Artist Alley/Art Show, Dealer’s Room, Video Game Room, Video Rooms, Masquerade / Skit Cosplay Contest, Concerts, and Hall Costume Contest. The convention’s small size will have you constantly running into people you just met hours ago, perfect for making new friends!

Unique to AnimeUSA is the Themed Ballroom Dance. This year’s “Military Cosplay Ball” required dancers to follow a dress code of Western formalwear or Military-themed Cosplay in order to get in. AnimeUSA introduced “dance cards” for the ladies at the ball, letting gentlemen leave their names on a lady’s dance card for a guarantee that the two would dance together on the dance floor. I really wanted to go to this dance, but I was stopped at the door: I didn’t meet dress code.

AnimeUSA also has the best convention Maid Cafe and Host Club on the East Coast, and compared to last year, it has gotten much better. Be sure to check out the forthcoming AnimeUSA 2011: Maid Cafe & Host Club post for more details!

Layout

The convention can be best described as vertical, spanning five floors. The bottom two, B2 and B1, are dedicated to Main Events, the Artist Alley/Art Show, Video Rooms, and Dealer’s Room. If you are looking to lighten your wallet, you need only head down the escalator from the lobby and descend into the madness of beautiful fanart, handmade plushies, poseable Vocaloid figurines, and more!

Can you name the Vocaloids?

The lobby, used only by AnimeUSA for registration, is usually filled with cosplayers during the day and offers a convenient shelter from the cold November weather. For attendees of age, the lobby also contains the bar (called the “Lobbibar” by the Hyatt), making it a popular destination at night when not attending raunchy 18+ panels. With a bar on the first floor and lots of 18+ programming, AnimeUSA accommodates older convention attendees rather well.

The Iconic AnimeUSA Torii (鳥居) (red archway). Photo by plumvs.

The floors above the lobby contain the bulk of the fan programming. Three panel tracks, two workshop tracks, and the Video Game Room are on the 3rd floor; an Events track, Manga Library, and the “My Cup of Tea” Maid Cafe are on the 2nd floor, while the “Club Ikemen Paradise” Host Club, located on the 20th floor, is only accessible via elevator from the 2nd floor.

“I choose YOU!”

All of the floors except for the 3rd floor are connected together via escalators. The 3rd floor is only connected to the 2nd floor via hard-to-access stairs, making getting to the workshops, panels, and the game room difficult.

Nearly-free Medicine

Something AnimeUSA does that’s awesome and unique is nearly giving away medicine to attendees, for a nominal fee of 25 cents per packet. Apparently there’s a law in Virginia that prohibits them from giving away medicine for free, so they charge a quarter.

I can say from personal experience based on the instructions I was given at the con that the entire leadership of the con has one goal. That goal is [to] put on [a] great convention where every attendee goes home saying they had a great time.” –forum post from one of AnimeUSA’s Medical Staff

I’m not aware of any other convention that does something like this, and it’s a great idea to help attendees stay healthy and comfortable during the convention. If you’ve ever been unlucky enough to get sick during a convention, having medicine is essential to being able to enjoy the precious little time you can spend at the convention.

Elevator Hell… No More!

I always made a point of never wanting to stay at the Hyatt for AnimeUSA because in previous years, attendees staying in the hotel rooms above the convention space fought with convention attendees who wanted to use the elevators to get from floor to floor.

This year, AnimeUSA disabled access to the lower floors (Lobby, B1, B2) from the elevators, an excellent decision that made elevators much faster and more efficient by reducing elevator demand. It’s really a blessing in disguise: you might make a few friends on the way up the escalators! The only downside is that getting to panel rooms requires more exercise.

Another welcome improvement is that access to the Host Club is only via one elevator on the 2nd floor, which only goes between the 2nd and 20th floor and is controlled by staff to prevent the host club from being full when you get there.

How many people are in the elevator?

Overall, AnimeUSA 2011 was tons of fun, even though I wasn’t allowed to go to the Military Cosplay Ball. Check out the next post on AnimeUSA’s Maid Cafe and Host Club, the attraction that I consider the best part of AnimeUSA.

Genkaku Picasso Volume 1: Manga Movable Feast

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Hikari Hamura, nicknamed Picasso because of his natural artistic abilities, survived a horrible accident, but his friend Chiaki wasn’t so lucky. Suddenly, Chiaki appears in front of him and tells him in order to keep living he must help the people around him. Can Hikari save people with his sketchbook and a 2B pencil?

By Usamaru Furuya
Publisher: Viz Media – Shonen Jump
Age Rating: Teen+
Genre: Supernatural/Mystery
Price: .99
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I read the first chapter of this series when it was previewed in Shonen Jump. While I liked it, I didn’t run out and buy the first volume when it came out. It wasn’t a “must have” at the time. But with an MMF coming up featuring Usamaru Furuya, I thought Genkaku Picasso would be the most accessible of his available titles. I definitely enjoyed the full volume more than the just the first chapter. There is some dark imagery, but it is balanced with plenty of light moments and a bright resolution for all the people Hikari and Chiaki help.

What makes Genkaku Picasso work so well are its characters. Furuya has created a quirky lead with a cast of characters to match. Hikari Hamura, aka Picasso, so named for a spelling error and his love of drawing, is a fun yet endearing lead. He is a bit of an introvert, and reacts with some hostility to his classmates. He has a nervous habit of chewing on his thumbnail, but has a real talent for art and greatly admires Leonardo Da Vinci. His only real friend is Chiaki, a childhood friend who likes to read while Picasso draws by the riverside. We don’t get to know Chiaki too well, as she is killed in the first few pages, but their bond of friendship is strong. Chiaki cares for Picasso, but not romantically so. She seems more like a big sister than a love interest.

Picasso beings to develop a circle of friends as he starts helping his classmates. The first classmate he helps is Sugiura, a popular boy who liked to tease Picasso, but after his help becomes more friendly with him. Akane, the girl Picasso helps next, not only becomes his friend, but also develops a sort-of crush on him. Of course, Picasso isn’t too happy about this change, but he seems to accept it, as Sugiura and Akane start eating lunch with him, and are usually the ones who take him to the Infirmary when he dives into a picture and can’t move or speak.

The pictures that Picasso draws of his classmate’s hearts are often dark, and sometimes disturbing. Though, the images can also be misleading. Manba’s picture wasn’t of anything he desired, but rose from his concern for Kotone, who he also has a crush on. Akane’s picture I found to be the most disturbing, but that has more to do with my love of animals. I can’t believe any animal would be treated like that for any reason. Anyway, the chapter still has a good ending, but it’s one I can’t read over.

The darker imagery is balanced by the more light-hearted moments, most of which are at Picasso’s expense. His inability to interact with his classmates, which often results in him asking blunt, inappropriate or completely off base questions based on the pictures he draws puts him into a lot of awkward situations. I don’t usually like seeing characters in awkward situations, but Picasso causes his own problems. One scene that particularly struck me was after helping Sugiura, he felt happy that he could help someone, and then immediately felt down because he was going to have to do it again. It’s these short, quick moments that are true to the character that make them funny rather than some attempt at humor.

I admit to being a bit put-off by the art at first, especially Picasso’s lips. It looked like he was wearing lipstick, and it bothered me. But once I got past that I could better appreciate Furuya’s work. Picasso’s “heart” sketches are great, and I really liked the detail he put into Picasso’s practice sketches. It really shows his potential, and makes his “heart” sketches that more believable.

Genkaku Picasso is different from other shonen titles but in a good way. The characters are odd but entertaining, and watching their interactions so far has been fun. The problems Picasso and Chiaki have to solve are realistic and different from the usual teen problems that other manga tend to focus on. It’s this difference that really makes Genkaku Picasso stand out. I will definitely be picking up the other two volumes of this series.

GHB Rehab And Dependency

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Millions of people all over the globe have suffered through some sort of addiction. Many of these people deal with being addicted to prescription drugs. Whether they were given a prescription for an injury or illness or whether they got hooked on the street, the results of addiction are still the same. One drug that is becoming more popular everyday can be deadly. Learn more details about addiction and GHB addiction rehabilitation.

Schedule 1 Drug

GHB, Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate, is a Schedule I controlled substance. It is classified as a central nervous system depressant and can have multiple side effects that many illicit drug users find pleasant. First developed in Europe as an analgesic, it has since become widely abused and the choice drug for illicit use in many countries. No longer used in the traditional sense of analgesic medicine, GHB hit the bodybuilding scene.

Bodybuilders and GHB

One place that has helped Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate popularity is the gym. The ironic part of this is gyms are there to help you get healthier. Many bodybuilders have started using it because they are led to believe it has properties that allow muscle building and weight loss to take place. Bodybuilders everywhere should know this drug has never been scientifically proven to be an anabolic substance. However, it is extremely addicting.

Multiple Addictions

You may have heard that one drug use leads to another and then another. This fact can be supported by statistics showing those people that take Valiums or drink alcohol are predisposed to become addicted to Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate. GHB has certainly been the root cause of many people stepping into addiction. Stopping the use of this particular drug is challenging to say the least.

GBL

Crackdowns in the use of Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate by government officials led to the creation of another drug closely related to GHB. This new concoction is called Gamma Butyrolactone, GBL for short. GBL is popularly used in gyms and nightclubs. The chemical used to make this medication turn into GHB in the body. The side effects are the same and have been noted to be highly addictive. In fact, this is the drug renowned as the date rape drug.

Family and Friends Can Help

While getting the right treatment is important and in some cases, absolutely vital for a survival, there are many addicts that will not give in and go to rehab. Addiction can take a stronghold sometimes and take over someone’s entire being and life. Learning more about how to reach inside an addict is best when friends and family members get involved with rehab professionals.

Withdrawal Fears

Addiction has its own demons and side effects as well. The fear of facing withdrawal is the worst one of these. In fact, this fear is the greatest reason addicts avoid going to intensive outpatient program or any other place to help. Withdrawal from this drug, also known as the date rape drug, causes severe physical pain, high levels of anxiety, and an altered mental status.

Year of the Dragon

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Another year has come and gone, and the Chinese New Year is upon us again. This zodiac sign for this year is the Dragon. A creature that plays an important part in Asia history and culture, the dragon also gets lots of page time in manga. Here is just a sampling of the manga available in English that features dragons.

Dragon Ball – THE classic manga and probably the first title that comes to people’s minds when the word dragon is mentioned is Dragon Ball. This title by Akira Toriyama is still considered among the best in both the US and Japan. Young monkey-tailed boy Goku joins the teenaged girl Bulma on a quest to collect the 7 Dragon Balls. Legend says if all dragon balls are gathered, then the gatherer can call for Shenron, a dragon that will then grant them one wish. Dragon Ball is the better half of the series, and would have been so much better if it had ended at volume 16. I love Toriyama’s dragons, both the serious and the silly.

Dragon Knights – This series, along with Inuyasha and Dragon Ball, was one of the first manga series in English I ever bought. It follows three Dragon Knights of the Dragon tribe in the land of Draqueen. Rath, the Dragon Knight of Fire, Rune, the Dragon Knight of Water and Thatz, the Dragon Knight of Earth, travel the land, helping the people and slaying demons. The series starts off light and with a lot of humor, but in later volumes becomes weighed down by multiple story lines that weave around each other, causing a lot of confusion. So does the character designs, which look a lot like. But it’s still an enjoyable story, and one I need to re-read. Maybe reading it all at once will help keep things straight.

St. Dragon Girl – Momoka is a tomboyish girl who is good at martial arts. Ryuga is her childhood friend whose family has the power to summon dragons. When Ryuga summons a dragon to stop a demon who is after his sister, Momoka gets in the way and the dragon possesses her instead. Ryuga seals the dragon in Momoka, and its power can only be released by a kiss from him. This title is a shojo with Momoka pining for Ryuga, while Ryuga likes Momoka, but won’t admit it. It’s a cute and fun title, with some great looking dragons.

Two Flowers for the  Dragon – Shakuya is a princess of the Dragon Tribe that rules an oasis in the desert, and can turn into a dragon. She has also been betrothed to two men. Lucien was betrothed to her when they were children, but he mysteriously disappeared. Kuwan, the captain of the guard of the oasis then became her betrothed. The story starts with Lucien suddenly returning, with many of his memories missing. With two fiancés now, and neither willing to give up Shakuya, The queen gives Shakuya two tattoos; a rose for Lucien and a bellflower for Kuwan. The tattoos will grow with Shakuya’s feeling for each man, so both men must compete for Shakuya’s affections, but Shakuya has a mind of her own and won’t be swayed so easily. This is another shojo series, aimed toward the tween audience, like many of Nari Kusakawa’s books are. This series was released by CMX, and cancelled before the final volume was released.

Dragon Drive – Reiji Ozora is lazy. He never finishes anything he starts, and hardly makes it to school on time, until his childhood friend, Maiko Yukino shows him the virtual reality game Dragon Drive, where player fight each other with custom dragons that are based on the player’s personality. Reiji’s dragon, Chibi, ends up being a small fry that sleeps a lot. But, there seems to be something different about Chibi, and the game as well, as Reiji and his friends are transported to another world where the dragons and the battles are real. This is another fun title, that younger readers and tweens will enjoy. My oldest daughter loved them when she was in elementary/middle school.

Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – This series is a fighting manga that helped make bishonen (pretty boys) popular in Shonen Jump. The main characters all wear armor, called cloths, and are based on constellations. The Cloth worn by Shinryu is based on the Dragon constellation. Not only is this cloth considered to be the strongest of the cloths, it has legendary offensive and defensive capabilities, and Shinryu wields them expertly. Shinryu is the calm, cool one compared to Seiya’s firey and impetuous ways. His attacks all feature a dragon, usually of water roaring and striking fear in his opponents.

Saiyuki – This mix of fantasy and modern re-telling of the classic Chinese tale Saiyuuki has a dragon roaming its pages. Jeep, also known as Hakuryuu is a pet to the main character Hakkai. He is normally the size of a house cat and can breathe fire, but for most of the series he is seen in his transformed state, that of a Jeep, that the boys use as transportation. Jeep is very cute and is usually seen draped around Hakkai’s neck.

Dragon Voice – While there is no actual dragon in this series, the main character Rin Amami is thought to have the legendary “Dragon Voice”, a deep voice that while by itself sounds like Godzilla, mixed with the right voices has a charismatic and captivating sound. Sadly, this series was dropped by Tokyopop with only one volume to go. The it’s worth the time for fun, outrageous story and wild characters.

I’m sure there are a lot more manga that I’ve missed with dragons in them. Leave me a comment and let me know what else I should be looking up!

Shakugan no Shana Final 14-15

Shakugan no Shana Final 14 15 14 01

How the hell do you misspell Shana's name…?

Summary:

Shakugan no Shana Final 14 15 14 02

When did Wilhelmina become such a player?

The troops find their morale greatly decreased after seeing Shana change out of her ripped evening gown into a pant suit.  Even worse, Yuujevil reveals his Grand Order is designed to create a perfect world Xanadu in the rift between the worlds where everyone who looks like a dude wearing black tights and funny mask can be happy.  The thought of so many poorly designed characters getting their own happy world drives the unnamed Flame Hazes nuts, and they get slaughtered as they retreat.  It’s looking grim, but Centerhill finally decides to help the Flame Hazes because he is so damn tsundere.

Shakugan no Shana Final 14 15 14 03

I like how the third eye isn't mad at you

A complicated plan to establish a giant beacon as a faux decoy begins, and the Flame Hazes retreat towards the beacon.  Although the Tomogara assume the beacon is a decoy, it actually marks the way to the underground passage leading to the buried Tendoukyuu.  Shana, Wilhelmina, and Centerhill (with Marjorie’s eventual help) hold off Sydonay in order to pretend to stall for time, and eventually Chiara Toscana and Sale Habichtsburg arrive to jet the Flame Hazes away.  Yuujevil isn’t too worried, though, as he owned the hell out of Sophie’s forces and got rid of Samuel Demantius and Centerhill.

Reaction:

Shakugan no Shana Final 14 15 15 01

Centerhill just punched like 5 different endangered animals!!!

First off, woooooo Marjorie returns to being useful.  So much for that myth about how getting it on before a battle reduces your efficacy.  Still, one can’t help but be impressed with the monstrous strength of Sydonai in dealing with so many high-level Flame Hazes at once.  The funny thing is that in spite of all that convoluted scheming to make it seem like there was a silly decoy used to help an invisible castle escape, the Tomogara can just go home and warp through that bridge, if the Tendoukyuu is still close enough.  I was also a little disturbed that Crimson Lords suddenly remember they had an appointment to go home and wash their hair whenever it looks like the Flame Haze they’re contracted to is about to die.

Shakugan no Shana Final 14 15 15 02

Marjorie won't let you come inside until your lance is properly wrapped

It’s funny how Centerhill knows that he and his fellow bureaucrats cannot stand for Yuujevil to create a happy world outside of their jurisdiction.  The nerve of those hippies!  Obviously it all sounds pretty good in theory, but these little social experiments rarely succeed.  On the other hand, past revolutionaries lacked a gigantic snake and a Trinity to help foster their ideals.   Hopefully the next episodes will have a lot more Pheles and a lot less Rofocale.

How To Locate A Method For Medical Drug Addiction Detox

Sunday, January 29th, 2012

Selecting a method of drug addiction detox depends on whether an individual wants to avoid a positive test at work or if they wish to be completely clear of additive substances as a step towards a major change in lifestyle. The latter goal could be reasonably described as rehabilitation, or ‘rehab’ for short. Rapid opiate detox was introduced twenty years ago by doctors in Israel and has since been modified by safer medications that have FDA approval.

Rapid Detox

Withdrawal from a medication in the absence of supportive intervention can last for several days. The symptoms can be very unpleasant and painful, to the point that this puts people off going ‘clean’. Rapid detox, which involves placing the patient under anesthesia so they don’t feel the severe pain and other symptoms, is reputed to affect complete clearance in as little as two hours. This is expensive and the safety of this approach remains to be proven. It is also a very extreme way of passing a laboratory test.

Reasons For Testing

A person may be asked to submit to a laboratory drug test for any one of a number of reasons. Insurance companies sometimes ask for them before issuing a life insurance policy. Students, probationers and parolees may all be asked to provide a sample for testing from time to time. Athletes in competitive sports are often required to take urine tests. Many employers require them prior to making an appointment or a promotion. There is only one sure way to be sure of passing one of these tests and that is to abstain completely, at least for the duration of its detection time.

Clearance Time

The detection time, the amount of time that a medicine or a metabolite remains detectable in urine, depends on the drug that is being tested for. Some substances like cocaine, short-acting barbiturates, amphetamines and opiates may clear the system in less than seven days. Others like LSD (acid) or benzodiazepines (valium, lorazepam, etc.) may take up to a week and a half. Cannabinoids (derived from marijuana), steroids and phenobarbital (a long-acting barbiturate) can remain detectable for weeks or even months.

Detox Drinks

There is a substantial market for personal drug tests so that casual drug users may monitor their levels. For those facing an impending drug test, it is possible to buy special ‘detox drinks’ over the Internet that act long enough to get through a test successfully. These may also be bought over the telephone or at special retailers.

Total Rehabilitation

Passing a drug test may be sufficient for casual drug users who want to remain employed and out of jail. For people with a giant monkey on their back who want a complete lifestyle change, an extended program of detoxification and rehabilitation is necessary. This approach needs to incorporate psychological, social and behavioral issues.

Residential Treatment

A residential crack cocaine addiction rehab program can work very well. It physically removes the subject from the environmental and social cues that may trigger their addictive behavior. It also permits residents to learn how to build satisfying relationships with people who are not users. After being discharged from a residential facility, a good program of after care is necessary to consolidate the progress made during their time in residence and to keep them from falling back into their old ways.

Well, Hanekawa’s episode just got jacked by the most unexpected one of all. Now I can see why her seiyuu was replaced. Seriously, Maaya Sakamoto channelling Horo is too damn destructive. And SHAFT is really taking that bath exposition technique to the limit with this one. Pretty sure you’d be party vanned if you watched this in public.

Dear god, I don’t know if I am going to survive next week. I hope I can take it.

EVOL, brahmacharya, Buddhism

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

Ren’ai-kinshi (恋愛禁止 “romance prohibition”) = brahmacharya (celibacy).

Aquarion EVOL has so much yoga references, and its worldview is based on the karmic religions, with aparigraha (non-possession, renouncement), especially brahmacharya (sexual renouncement, celibacy), also shared by the Skoptsy. But these renouncement doctrines simply don’t apply to kimo-ota!

The Love-Shy Survival Guide proves it right. When I was reading it, I was yelling, “That’s totally right!” It says,

It sounds uplifting to hear you renounce pre-marital sex, but there is one problem. You can only renounce what you have, not what you don’t have. I have known dirt poor people who claimed they renounced wealth and power and total losers who never had a date who claimed they renounced loveless sex or all sexuality. It is easy to renounce what you don’t have because you will not miss anything. This mode of thinking just makes you feel good about your failures. (p 207)

Certainly! This book nailed it! It totally understands what kimo-ota’s suffering is like!

So, how did the Indo-Aryans come up with brahmacharya? Let’s take a look at Buddhism, the most wide-spread karmic religion in the world. In fact, the first gravest offense for the Buddhist monks is a sexual union. Yes, a forbidden union, so sex is divided by the Berlin Wall. So, “Berlin” symbolizes brahmacharya in EVOL.

Gautama Buddha, a champion of brahmacharya, formerly Gautama Siddhartha, was a stud. As a crown prince of a kingdom, he had his own harem for the rainy season during early summer, and he had his own entertainers providing him services, with people’s tax money! And then one day he developed a sense of emptiness and abjection after countless debaucheries, seeing women lying down on the floor sleeping, drooling with messed up makeups. Later on he told his students that women were the vessels of feces. So, it’s worthless being aroused at them.

So, the Wise Man tells us to ignore 3-D girls. But, still it’s based on a theory of kachigumi (the winners). He was the winner-takes-all. リア充王 (The King of Riaju, the Riaju of the Riajus). ただしイケメンに限る (Only happens to ikemen)。So, he could practice renouncement. As a Russian word Skoptsi means “castrate” but also “save,” so by giving up sex, he saved people’s tax money, yes, stopped wasteful spending.

Therefore, he concluded that debauchery was empty. So, he went on to practice voluntary celibacy.

But “voluntary” already sounds bourgeois because they have a choice to keep the property or trash it. They are the privileged. Yes, his own entertainers, love slaves, wives, and concubines were all his properties to dispense with.

But what about the poor? What about romantic poverty? We’re the have-nots. The propertyless. We have nothing to give up. We have no way of knowing what debauchery is like. So, we can’t find the Middle Path either.

This recent movement of LOVOS or Lifestyles Of Voluntary Simplicity is utterly bourgeois. The word “voluntary” already indicates that you belong to the propertied. While the unpropertied, working class, proletariat, or precariat, their situation is LOIOS or Lifestyles Of Involuntary Simplicity. Involuntary aparigraha. And romantic proletarians or involuntary celibates suffer from a girlless life. Their situation is INCEL or Involuntary Celibacy. Involuntary brahmacharya.

In other words, forced simplicity and forced celibacy by no fault of our own. We have no choice but to serve the master or employer to earn the living wage. So, our service is by coercion, involuntary servitude = labor. Didn’t the 13th Amendment ban involuntary servitude unless you’re in prison? They tell us that we have “right” to work. If so, then we’re supposed to have right to be lazy also. Don’t we have right to be a NEET?

So, this is how class struggle looks like, Voluntarism = bourgeoisie vs. Involuntarism = precariat.

Thus, financially and romantically, Buddhism is very bourgeois. That’s why I’ve turned away from Buddhism. And I don’t even bother becoming a Skoptsy like Smerdyakov.

The Skoptsy advocated castration, but it’s only effective for ikemen. It’s pointless to castrate kimo-ota since they have nothing to renounce. It’s pointless to tell the romantic poor to renounce romance, to give up sex to store wealth. Yes, in the age of capitalism, girls cost a lot indeed, so it’s better not to date if you want to save. But without money, you can’t have girls, and without girls, there’s no sex to renounce. How can you save when you have no savings in the beginning? Thus, aparigraha only works for bourgeoisie.

Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

Yes! Amata unites with Mikono-chan and destroys the Berlin Wall with “Infinite Punch.” How liberating! Eroticism is potlatch, overflowing abundance. Yes, sex without any cost. Free sex. So, brahmacharya (sexual renouncement) wouldn’t be necessary. No wasteful spending occurs from sex. That’s what we nijikon (2-D Complex) need!

How come today isn’t like the 60s, the time period that if you’re deadly poor wearing dirty cloths but just by carrying a guitar, girls gonna come talk to you and get laid? I can’t wait the 60s revival for twelve thousand years. AD 14012? I would be long dead by then! Even if Christ promises to resurrect me by then. Even Lazaro only waited for four days, not twelve thousand years. I want romantic wealth right now! But 3-D is so cruel. So, I seek animevangelism as an animevangelical. And Aquarion EVOL is the Good News!

Thus, EVOL is so historic in this historic year of AD 2012 and Heisei 24. The ideological Berlin Wall fell in 1989, the first year of Heisei. And the sexual Berlin Wall falls in 2012, Heisei 24. That’s the real meaning of “when it turns to be 24″ by Sakamoto Maaya, who by this “24” prophesy has just been proven to be the prophet, our animevangelist!
